MILAHA MARITIME

Milaha has been a reliable container feeder services provider within the GCC region for more than 50 years. Catering for the transport requirements of local importers and exporters with a modern fleet of fully-cellular container vessels, Milaha is today a market leader in maritime transport between Qatar, Oman, India and Pakistan.

Milaha’s fleet consists of 11 fully cellular fully-owned and chartered container vessels ranging from 515 TEUs to 2800 TEUs in nominal capacity.

In association with Poseidon Shipping, their agent in India, Milaha Maritime started a dedicated service NDX between Nhava Sheva, Jebel Ali and Doha, providing a fixed weekly direct call to Doha, Qatar from India. With aggressive marketing and close cooperation from all, this service ran successfully for over 3 years and was a preferred option for NVOCCs, MLOs both to Doha as well as to Jebel Ali.

Emboldened by the success of the NDX, Milaha started a second service from the just inaugurated Kandla International Container Terminal (KICT) at Kandla port to call Dammam and Jebel Ali, providing a fillip to the rice exports from the region.

In tune with the changing market situation, Milaha restructured their 2 services in order to continue providing connectivity to Doha from India. This move also enabled Mundra port to become a transshipment hub.
